After 10 Months Backpacking in Southeast Asia and sleeping in the cheapest hostels mostly, we had the pleasure to stay at the 5 Star Hotel Lanson Place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was our last stay before we headed back to our families in Germany.
Disclosure: The Lanson Place provided us a 3-night stay in a one-bedroom apartment.

Where to find the Lanson Place in Kuala Lumpur:
The apartment (1-Bedroom Residency)
Coming into the residency it felt like coming home right away. It was clean, calm and very comfortable. The rooms are super spacious and we had an incredible sight of the city center, including the famous KL Tower and the Petronas Twin Towers.
The apartment comes with a fully equipped kitchen, laundry machines (washer & dryer), a living room with a huge TV, a big bathroom, and a comfortable bedroom with an extra TV.
The huge window front and the outstanding location of Lanson Place allow much daylight in the rooms, even if it is cloudy weather.
The hotel is very groomed and modern! After six weeks of traveling through Malaysia, we can assure you that this is definitely above the standard, even in the high-class! The facilities a great, including gym, swimming pool, children’s playground, and outdoor BBQ area.

On the top floor (49th level) is a spacious and comfortable lounge area where you can chill out and work. Lanson Place provides two computers (MACs), a huge TV with a couch as well as a pool table.

Breakfast is served on the 48th floor with a modest variety of juices, coffee/tea, fruits, salad, veggies, salmon, eggs, sausage, muesli, bread, etc… For us, as plant-based travelers, we loved waking up knowing that there is a buffet with everything we could wish for waiting for us each morning (the only thing we have missed was a plant-based milk alternative).
The staff at Lanson Place is suuuuper friendly and even greets you with your name. Especially at the check-in and at breakfast, the service was very obliging and attentive. Room cleaning is optional, but available every day.
Business-friendly with good WiFi
WiFi was working all over the place with fast speed.
We could work in the top lounge and in the room without any problems. Even after our check-out, we were allowed to use the internet in the lobby and lounge area until we left the building.
Summary of our stay
To put it in a nutshell, we were more than happy with our stay at Lanson Place in Kuala Lumpur. The price is absolutely reasonable and the apartments made us feel like at home (we’ve had this feeling in no other hotel in Southeast Asia!). We loved spending time at the pool, in the gym and in the lounge area on the top floor.
We can definitely recommend staying at Lanson Place in Kuala Lumpur – whether you are coming for sightseeing or for work.
